Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Taking new programs through the development life cycle while working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure
+ Responsible for team execution of development programs in terms of delivery, quality and design to cost targets (both procurement bill-of-material hardware and engineering deliverables)
+ Requires a strong integration with Supply Management and leveraging the Commodity Strategies to maximize the impact of new programs for cost reduction without compromise to quality
+ Requires direct interface with Senior Management within the business unit customers (Program Managers, etc.) and serves as the link between the program and the supply chain organization
+ Supplier and sub-contract supplier identification, negotiation and selection for products ranging from commodity based to UTAS designed/supplier engineered
+ Define Global Value Sourcing opportunities for new sources of supply
+ Driving compliance to procurement procedures within the working team and to develop and execute standard work within the Procurement for development programs up to and including transition to production
+ Linkage with the IPT/customer service organization ensuring supportability of our products in service
+ Key participant in make versus buy decisions and business case analysis
Qualification:
Basic Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or other related disciplines
+ Proven leadership and communication skills
+ Able to lead in a collaborative team environment
+ Self-directed; strong planning and organizational skills: adapts to evolving priorities and assignments while executing in a timely manner
+ Exposure to strategic sub-contract sourcing, supplier negotiations, and associated contractual terms
+ Understanding of Global logistics including import/export requirements
+ Familiar with manufacturing processes, products, and requirements
+ Basic understanding of various commodity types and sub-assembly systems
+ Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, passion for self-development
+ Positive individual contributor with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
+ Good judgment, strong critical thinking, and problem solving skills
+ Utilizes lean principles, is a driver of improvement
+ Excellent MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Project/Program Management Experience
+ A track record of managing to plan and achieving customer satisfaction
+ Cost sensitivity and business judgment with proven bottom line results
+ Exposure to ERP systems, SAP is preferred
+ Knowledgeable in design to cost principles.
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in an Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or other related field
+ Masters Degree is preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
